John James
A graduate of the the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston, I worked as an architect for several years before realizing that my true passion lay in graphic design. Self-taught, I was hired by Crew Creative Advertising five years ago, where I became a Senior Art Director. At Crew, I have created successful advertising and marketing campaigns for clients like TLC, Discovery Channel, Warner Brothers and Twentieth Century Fox, to name a few. Working primarily in Crew’s interactive division, my expertise also encompassed various other departmental areas and projects – including overall concept designs, logo and identity packages, print campaigns, viral marketing and user interaction.
Recently, I began Drunken Apostles, a side project aimed at expanding my client base to include arts and culture festivals, community interaction sites, identity packages, mobile applications and search engine resources. I am also part-owner of an artist-catered graphic t-shirt company, The Brothers Ink, which enforces creator-owned rights and helps promote artists.
Please feel free to leave me any messages, feedbacks or general inquiries regarding my work or any other aspects of my career. I’ll be happy to help any way I can.
